Our edge of care service is designed to support young people and their families at critical points - before a crisis escalates or statutory care becomes necessary. We focus on keeping families together safely and sustainably by providing intensive, tailored support to prevent entry into care.

What is Edge of Care?

Edge of Care is a preventative, family-centred intervention aimed at reducing the risk of young people entering the care system. We step in when families are struggling with significant challenges and need additional support to rebuild relationships, manage behaviours, and stabilise the home environment.

How Do We Support?

Our skilled team offers flexible, intensive support packages including:

  • In-home practical support to establish routines and positive communication

  • Emotional and behavioural coaching for young people and parents

  • Crisis management and de-escalation techniques

  • Outreach and community engagement to widen support networks

  • Collaboration with Social Care, CAMHS, and other professionals to create cohesive care plans

Our trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming approach ensures that support is tailored, empathetic, and respectful of each individual’s experience.
